The New Jersey Libertarian Party (NJLP) is excited to share our Official 2025 Winter Newsletter with you! Inside, you’ll find a Message from the Chair, offering insights to inspire us as we push for freedom in the Garden State. We’re also updating our Bylaws to better serve our growing membership, so please review the proposed changes and get ready for a debate to create their final version.

Bylaws that are being presented at the convention are included in the Newsletter, but I am placing here also.
Bylaws Committee
Proposal 1. Add to Paragraph 8. Trustees
at the bottom: The State Board may
appoint a Deputy Treasurer, as nominated
by the treasurer, to be included as a
Trustee for banking purposes only.
Rationale: Banks are now not allowing
anyone other than those named on the
account to deposit checks, and they will
not let us add anyone other than Trustees.
Bylaws Vote: 2 Aye 0 Nay 2 Abstention
Proposal 2: Add a new Section 6.C.1:
Trustee candidates shall have been a
member of the NJLP for a minimum of one
year prior to being elected.
Rationale: As for the year of prior
experience, we've had several instances
where new members have been
pressured into positions, they were
unprepared for, only to get overwhelmed
and quit. We welcome fresh members to
become active ASAP, but they should
start within their Regions to get used to
the workload.
