Press Release
Damien Caillault will be representing the Libertarian Party in the election for State Assembly in November.
The Libertarian Party is the third largest party in New Jersey. It is also not only the fastest growing, but the only party that is actually growing, by registration.
Libertarians pride themselves in being socially tolerant and fiscally conservative; they see personal and economic freedom as two sides of the same coin.
Caillault certainly is an unusual candidate: US citizen since 2012, he was born and raised in France and came to the USA in 2007. He is a successful financial advisor and municipal bond specialist, recently elected President of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary.
He recently declared, “Entitlement does not make people happy, it makes them indefinitely dissatisfied and jealous, afraid to lose what they have without truly be appreciative of it. A society is doomed when a generation is more concerned about keeping what they have than it is to sacrifice for their children to live better lives. Let’s keep our country free and fair and full opportunities instead of defending our own privileges. Here lies the difference between a libertarian and a democrat or a republican.”
Both seats available for the 27th district have been held by democrats for over 30 years.
The 27th district encompasses Hanover, East Hanover, Florham Park, Madison, Chatham Township, Harding in Morris County, and Roseland, Essex Fells, Caldwell, Livingston, Millburn, West Orange, South Orange and Maplewood in Essex County.
The campaign team is being formed; anybody who wants to help is welcome. Caillault is now gathering signatures and starting to raise money for his campaign,
